PE Boys PE
This course exposes male students to various formats of physical exercises and practices for living a healthy life. Physical education is an integral part of the education program for all students. It teaches students how their bodies move and how to perform a variety of physical activities. Students learn the health-related benefits of regular physical activity and the skills to adopt a physically active, healthy lifestyle. This class will help students gain confidence, independence self-control, resilience and teach them how to set achievable goals.
PE Girls PE

PE Games PE
Games PE is a term-long Physical Education and/or Elective course in which male and female students learn and engage in different field game and sports activities using cooperative, team strategies.
PE Dance
Dance is a term to year-long Physical Education and/or Elective course in which students learn and engage in fitness and gymnastic activities and dance instruction and practice to prepare for and perform dance routines.
PE CrossFit
This term to year-long course is open to male and female students who travel to the Crossfit gym and engage with a professional trainer three days each week for an hour developing all aspects of fitness through instruction and workouts that are intensive, constantly varied, functional movements. For the fitness enthusiast only. See the Crossfit website for more information. Instructor approval is required.
PE Community PE
This individualized study course offers students the opportunity to study for and pass an examination of lifetime fitness knowledge and document 130 hours of sports and lifetime fitness activities with a qualified instructor. Instructor approval is required.
Umpqua Community College Dual Credit Courses:
HPE 295 Wellness & Health Assessment (UCC course)
This foundation course includes lecture and physical activities to expose the student to the inter-relation of health and fitness. Assessment and improvement of physical fitness, nutritional status, and ability to cope with stress and the interaction of these three components in achieving optimal health (especially the cardiovascular system) will be emphasized. This course may be offered for dual credit through College Now for 3 college credits and one Phoenix credit and apply toward high school graduation as an elective or physical education requirement. Instructor approval is required.
